Medway Council attended the UK's largest property event in October 2017 for the first time, as part of a north Kent-based partnership venture to attract developers and investors to the region.
The North Kent Enterprise Zone, comprising Ebbsfleet Garden City, Kent Medical Campus, and Innovation Park Medway – a 24-ha campus-style digital technology park – showcased opportunities for investment in the digital technologies, education, healthcare, life sciences, engineering and manufacturing industries across the area, at MIPIM UK on 18 and 19 October.
Regeneration projects in Medway are set to continue until 2035, with Innovation Park Medway and improved flood defences in Strood among those part funded by the Local Growth Fund.
Alan Jarrett, leader of Medway Council, said: "Medway is already catching the attention of businesses from far and wide and with more than 14,000 businesses now operating in the area, there has been a huge boost to the economy.
"We will continue to explore further opportunities in 2018 to maximise growth and ensure Medway continues to be a great place to live, work, learn and visit."
