A housing association based in Chatham and operating in Medway has completed two new housing schemes for rent and shared ownership.
mhs homes has transformed a former garage site into eight homes at Upbury Way, near Chatham town centre.
The scheme, which also provides two accessible homes for wheelchair users, was completed by contractors Building Associates. Two of the homes were for shared ownership, and mhs said they were reserved at the first viewing. The others are available for rent.
At Eldon Street, also close to the town centre, 19 homes were built by contractors Chartway. They are aimed at being rented at an affordable rate. The scheme provided eight two-bedroom homes and 11 apartments. It was designed by bptw.
Associate Chris Bath said: “We worked closely with mhs homes to deliver these buildings at Eldon Street and are really pleased with the final outcome. We are proud to have played a part in delivering an affordable scheme which is providing good quality housing for people in the local area.”
The consultant for both schemes was PSW Consultancy.
